We all have seen the picture of one of our friends posing in front of the Times Square, haven’t we???? Wondering why, it is such a famous landmark????
Times Square is a major commercial intersection, a famous tourist destination, entertainment center and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue.
Did you guys know, it was named Longacre Square at first. Then in April 1904, it was renamed as the “Times Square”, and why did they name it so??? Because the New York Times moved their headquarters to the Times Building….Now that’s reasonable!!!

Not just that, the most famous New Year’s event known worldwide is the annual dropping of the spectacular crystal ball in Times Square, on December 31st.
Now if you are into commercial industry, you will have to spend between $1.1 million and $4 million a year to buy one of those flashy, digital or neon billboards that light up New York’s Times Square. The LED video display system at 1552 Broadway Avenue features seven screens, approximately eight million pixels and 8,500 square feet of LED. It is the highest-resolution LED display system in Times Square.
So are you planning to go to Times Square??? I would suggest you arrive at the LaGuardia Airport, for getting some splendid views of the New York City.
